Hello IP Family!
Happy New Year and I hope your holidays were filled with joy and love! I LOVE the holidays. From finding gifts that I’m truly excited about to share with my loved ones, the cookies (gingerbread fan here), seeing family and friends, to the warm glow of the Christmas tree lights. I’m incredibly grateful because two things have made the holidays that much more special: owning Imagination Pottery and losing loved ones. I lost my step-dad (Nicole, Abby, and Ricky’s Dad) in December 2004 and my Dad in November 2014.
Losing a loved one leaves a real hole in your heart and aches like nothing else; the holidays are never the same. As a result, I know how precious each day is and try not to get caught up in the stress. Their absence is still felt and brings sadness some days; but being at the studio helps overcome that. Imagination Pottery is a place where happy memories and treasured pieces are made and that gives us so much joy. We are humbled to have the honor to print your babies for special gifts, or see a young kid get to pick out whatever they want and paint it however they want. Because grandma and grandpa will love it! Oh and the ornaments; we have so many families that make it a yearly tradition to paint ornaments and we love getting to see the kids grow up and their creativity expand.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting our family be a part of your family! And now it’s 2019! I love the start of a new year and the refresh it brings.
I wanted to share what’s going on at the studio and give some sneak peeks for fun events we have planned! A familiar face is back at the studio – our sister, Nicole! She has already been busy painting samples for our upcoming 90s night! Autumn will be starting her second semester at St. Charles Community College and is excited to work more with clay and watercolors this year! Abby is busy getting ready for her and Chad’s wedding this October! Michael is pursing his passion of being on YouTube and currently working on content for his channel! Once it’s ready, we will definitely announce his channel name! I’m brainstorming fun events to bring to the studio and enjoying reading! My new favorite author is Greg Iles (click here to learn more about him) and I recommend starting with the Penn Cage series! I’m also currently listening to “Becoming” by Michelle Obama and loving it too!
This May will be our four year anniversary of owning the studio! And we are kicking 2019 off with a bang! Here’s just a few of the events we have planned:
- The Office Party
- LOL Doll Paint & Swap
- Stoneware Workshop
- Storytime & Paint with a Local Author
- 90s Night
- Donuts with Dad
Now here’s the juicy sneak peek of upcoming events:
- Trolls Party
- Mandala & Psychic Reading Class
- JoJo Siwa Party
- Game of Thrones Night
Have an idea for a fun class or event? Please let us know!
